The theme of this years contest will be a tribute to Buffet’s famous 70’s moustache and the life long pursuit of partying with a purpose and benefit Nicky’s Celebration Inc.

In-person judging takes place from 12:00-5:00pm at Willie’s Chicken Shack Key West.
Winners for the In-Person contest will be announced live onstage Oct 23rd at 7:00pm. In person competitors must appear for judging between 12:00-6:00pm. Online winners will be announced during the tikimanradio.com Key West Show on October 30th between 8:00pm-midnight est and posted at instagram.com/beardchampionship. Fantasy Beards
Beards with multiple vivid neon colors only, can be natural or hair pieces made from any material. Open to all genders.
Realistic Whiskerina & Whiskerinos
False facial hair pieces made to look like real natural beards and mustaches. This category is limited to hair pieces only. Materials are restricted to human, animal, or synthetic hair. Open to all genders.
Decorative Beards
Put anything you want in your beard, go crazy! open to natural beards, hair pieces, or beards made of any materials. Open to all genders.
70's Bushy Buffett Mustache
A well presented bushy natural mustache, with no Styling Aids present. The kind that will make people say, “you look like Jimmy Buffett”. Any length of mustache is accepted.
I Wish I Had a Pencil Thin Groomed Mustache
A narrow, slender groomed and trimmed mustache with hairs extended outward from the middle of the upper lip. All hair growing from more than 3/4” past the corner of the mouth must be shaved. Styling Aids permitted.
Handle Bar Syled Mustache
Styled mustaches with open curl or loop on both sides. All hair growing from more than 3/4” past the corner of the mouth must be shaved. Styling Aids permitted.

Horseshoe or FuManchu Mustache
All area more than 3/4″ past the corner of the mouth horizontally must be clean shaven, and the chin area is shaved as well. The mustache and partial beard hairs are permitted to grow from the face descending vertically towards the jawline and beyond. The tips of the mustache extend downward. Styling aides are permitted. No false hair pieces or added materials allowed.
Mutton Chops or Side Burns
Includes any facial hair along the sides of the jaw, with a minimum 1.5” width (razor width) shaven chin. May also include mustaches, Hulihees, or Friendly’s. Grooming airs are permitted and encouraged. No false hair pieces or added materials allowed.
Goatee
Goatees should have a minimum 3″ gap or shaved skin between the bottom of the ear and the beginning of the goatee. Mustaches are permitted but not required. Grooming aids are permitted and encouraged. No false hair pieces or added materials allowed.
Whaler
Natural beard without a mustache. Cheeks can shaved or unshaved. Grooming Aids permitted. No false hair pieces or added materials allowed.
Santa Claus Beard
A well presented full and white natural beard, and also the overall groomed presentation. Grooming Aids permitted, any length accepted.
Fuzz Category
For beginers. Beards under 1/2. groomed or just begining to grow.
